Hi, I'm Leigh Ann, the owner and primary pet sitter for House Calls.  I started this business because 1) I love working with animals and 2) my dog Daisy Leigh could not be left alone... or in kennels, or with other people, or with other animals, etc.  We tried EVERYTHING!!!  People couldn't even come in my home to feed her. Let's just say she was a bit cantankerous. A very sweet dog if she knew you but otherwise... ummm... not so much.  Luckily my parents would babysit her whenever I needed to travel.  But I often thought, "what would I do if they weren't around?"  Daisy is no longer with us but her memory lives on and I think of her whenever I run into a not-so-sweet looking dog. They are usually just scared and take some time (and psychology) to get them to warm up to you.  I love the challenge and there is nothing more rewarding than making a dog smile.

 

Aside from doing in-home pet care, I also work work with two local animal rescue groups, Happy Tails Animal Rescue and Heaven Sent Bulldog Rescue. I provide foster care, vet care, transportation, whatever is necessary to get these animals happy, healthy and placed into permanent, loving, forever homes. I have a wide range of experience in dealing with different types of pets like dogs, cats, birds, salt and freshwater fish, newts, hamsters, etc. I love working with them all.
